Family Reunion

Ok, I have to first start off with this picture from last week because it made me laugh. Michael was watching Miley for me while I got a few things done. He is such a guy.

Next, we were away this weekend on a family reunion. It was so much fun! We met the Hobneck side of the family at Rend Lake in Illinios. Half the family camped and the other half (including us) stayed at different hotels in the area. We spent time with everyone on Friday, went swimming, and had a family dinner Friday at the lodge. On Saturday, we just hung out at the campsites. We did go to a "winery" which wasn't exactly what we expected, but it was fun. Saturday night was our absolute favorite part of the whole weekend. Miley was in a good mood Saturday night so we were able to spend time talking to everyone, and playing around. Dinner was excellent and then there was a "Bag" tournament. Michael and I are so competitive so we loved the tournament. We ended up driving home that night because we did not want to have to deal with Miley in the car seat the following day. She ended up sleeping the whole way home and it was fabulous!

Grandma and Miley took a nap together on Saturday.

It was very good to see Uncle Dan, Aunt Deb, Amy, and Danny.

Miley definitely was a little freaked out by all the new people so she clung to Michael and I most of the weekend.

This is "Bags". Uncle Gerry taught us how to play.

Aunt Sherrell was a big help with Miley Kate. They definitely bonded.

Grandpa Hobneck was enjoying the relaxing sunshine.

My girl!

The night time pictures did not turn out great, but it gives you an idea of what the night was like.

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to Grandpa Hood, Grandpa Hobneck, and Michael.

(This picture is the epitome of Miley Kate. She wants to always be on the move.)

Father's Day was so much fun! In the morning, we had a little family time, and then brunch with the Hobnecks. Miley and I took Michael shopping for some clothes, which wasn't exactly his idea of fun, but greatly needed. Then, we had dinner with the Hood Grandparents and Aunt Loo at September's Cafe.

Cutting Teeth and Rolling Over!

Miley Kate is officially three months old today! Yeah! It has been a busy week. Miley Kate is cutting teeth! She started drooling a couple of weeks ago, and my Mom said it seemed like she was teething. She was right. She has been sticking everything possible in her mouth to try to sooth herself. Ms. Miley also rolled over this week! We were laughing because Michael was trying to take pictures of her holding herself up on her elbows, but she kept rolling over. She thinks it is hilarious and can't get enough of it. I love that she can move around on her own, even if it is just a little.

Happy Father's Day to all the Dads!

This Blog

I wanted to start this blog so that our family and friends can participate in our new little girl's life. This is Miley Kate. She is the love of our life. She was born on March 14 and will actually be three months old this upcoming Saturday. She is strong willed, but loves to laugh. We have to always keep her entertained because she needs lots of stimulation. She loves bath time and taking walks outside. We love her so much.
