Quack! Quack!

Nana, my Mom, found this hilarious ducky bath tub in Chicago at a toy store for Miley Kate. We took a bath in it last night and she loved it. When you squeeze the nose it says, "Quack! Quack!" Thanks Nana!

We had a great baby weekend. We spent most of the weekend over Grandma Jane's rolling around on the floor. Cousin Briley and Adilynn came to visit, and we had so much fun with them.

On Monday, Miley Kate was still doing her little side saddle sit, and then all of the sudden Tuesday afternoon all she wanted to do was sit. We were laughing Tuesday night because I layed her down for the night, and when I went in to check on her, she was sitting up smiling in her crib.

Aunt Lou goes to college!

This is a little tribute to Aunt Lou. My sister, Laura Hood, left for college yesterday. She is going to Elmhurst in Chicago. We are so proud of her, and I am so excited for her. I am impressed that she is going to a new city and a school where she knows absolutely no one. I know she is going to have a blast, and I know that this is an amazing adventure for her. Laura (Aunt Lou) has been such a big help with Miley Kate, and she is so sweet with her. We will definitely miss our Aunt Lou while she is away.

Yum! Yum!

This is Miley Kate's first rice cereal experience. She put her hands up in the air with excitement when I put the spoon towards her mouth. She loved it!

We love spending time with the Marcie, Nick, Hudson, Melanie, Darwin, and Megan, but you would not have known that there was anyone else present last weekend from these pictures other then Miley and Hudson. Hudson is Marcie and Nick Nitsch's son. He is such a sweet baby and he is two and a half months younger then Miley Kate. After Nick's birthday celebration, we spent the evening watching Miley and Hudson interact with each other. It was actually quite funny.

Maggie and Miley Quality Time

Maggie is our first little girl. She has done wonderfully with Miley over the past few months. Maggie definitely hates when she is not the center of attention, but she is really doing very well handling Miley Kate. Miley has just started noticing this brown thing, and she is very interested in her. When Miley is in her pod, Maggie always comes and sits down next to her. Miley normally does not notice her, but recently she has started trying to touch her and grab her. You can see how Maggie responds.

Michael Kneff brought this Tigger back from Disney World for Miley Kate, and she gets the biggest kick out of it.
