A born shopper!

Lately, Miley loves for you to hold her hands and walk her around the house. When I try to sit her down on the ground, she will lock her legs and whine. My Mom and I saw this shopping cart at Kmart, and it is the perfect solution. She is still wobbly , but she loves to walk around on her own.

A Lou Fall Family Weekend

Laura Lou came home this past weekend. She has been at Elmhurst, and we haven't seen her since mid August. On Saturday, Laura, her friend (Susan), Kneff, my Mom, my Dad, Michael, Miley, and I went to the Bottom View Pumpkin Patch.

Disclaimer: We will not be returning to the Bottom View Pumpkin Patch. We had fun, but everything was very old and dirty. There was not a good atmosphere, and the store was more of a snack shop. I would not recommend it.

Saturday night we had dinner together, and we had a bonfire.

It was so good seeing Laura, and we can't wait to see her and Jonny at Thanksgiving.

Numbers 4, 5, and 6

I have been thinking about 3 more interesting things to say about Miley Kate, but things are changing daily, and I keep changing my mind about what the last three things should be so here we go.

4. Miley absolutely hates her car seat! It has been this way from the get go. I think she may have even cried on the way home from the hospital. You may catch her in a good mood once in awhile, but for the most part she will whine and carry on when she is placed in the car seat.

5. Miley loves the bath tub, and she always has. She loves splashing and playing around with her toys. She has started taking her wash rag and putting in the water and then bringing it to her mouth so that she can suck all the water out of it. Yum...her own dirty bath water.

6. Miley Kate loves to be outside. She loves walks, grass, dirt, dogs and the sun.

3. Miley has 5 teeth, and she absolutely loves to grind them. Ugh...it is the worst sound ever.

Miley's 6 interesting things:

Since I was tagged to write 6 interesting things about myself, I decided to post 6 interesting things about Miley Kate.

1. Miley hates the changing table. We are still fighting this battle of the changing table except now there is a fun twist. Miley stands up pretty well, and she can crawl up us easily. Therefore, when she is supposed to be laying on the changing table, she will pull herself up. Michael took this picture the other night because I started laughing about how long I had been trying to put her shirt on.

Be nice...I was ready for bed too.

2. Miley loves to play in her room, but her favorite room is the bathroom. Now this is not her favorite room for the reason you would think. She loves to pull herself up on the bath tub. Miley will be sitting in her room playing, and then I will here a "pat pat pat". She will be crawling frantically for the bathroom.

6 interesting things about me...

1. I love to travel. Last summer, Michael and I went to the Rocky Mountains, Yellowstone National Forest, and the Grand Tetons. Camping for two weeks is definitely an accomplishment for any girl.

2. I have been friends with my husband, Michael, since I was 14. I love that we were best friends first, and then fell in love.

3. I love to read and write! I do not know what it is about reading, but it is one of my favorite things to do in my free time. I have a goal to some day write a children's story. I am not a very good speller, and sometimes I do not say things gramatically correct, but I love putting a story together. I love the challenge of writing an entertaining and meaningful story.

4. I am the oldest of four kids. I am very proud of my brother's and sister. My brother, Michael, is an accountant at Deloitt and Teusch in Nashville. My brother, Jonny, is a physics major and chemistry minor at the University of Maryland. My little sister, Laura, is a biology major at Elmhurst in Chicago, IL. I absolutely love having a big family. Holidays are so much fun!

5. I love to play sports. I played soccer in high school, and in college I played everything possible in intramurals. I even played on the MTSU Rugby team for a season.

6. I love to cook. My favorite thing to cook is dessert. Every Thanksgiving I am in charge of the desserts.

Well...I am looking back at these "interesting things", and I am realizing that I am not the most exciting person in the world, but this was definitely a nice excuse to reflect.
